Catalent To Launch Innovative Fish Oil Supplement Product At Vitafoods Europe
SOMERSET, N.J. – May 4, 2017 — Catalent Pharma Solutions, the leading global provider of advanced delivery technologies and development solutions for drugs, biologics and consumer health products, today announced that it is to launch a new product, Fish Oil Thin Shell EasyBurst® Chewables, at the upcoming Vitafoods Europe Conference, to be held at the Geneva Palexpo, Switzerland, on May 9 – 11, 2017.
This innovative product overcomes many of the challenges associated with fish oil supplements, including large capsule size, odors, and unpleasant aftertaste, offering consumers a smaller, chewable dosage form that does not require water. The oil component of the product is concentrated, and each capsule is capable of delivering 200 mg of fish oil providing 110 mg or more of Omega-3 (with at least 80 mg of DHA and 12 mg or more of EPA). An alternative to standard capsules and chewable gummies, Fish Oil Thin Shell EasyBurst Chewables are ideal for consumers who have difficulty swallowing, including children and the elderly.
At the Conference, Catalent will be participating in the exhibitor speaking sessions: Ms. Claudia Valla, Product Development Adviser, Catalent Consumer Health will be presenting on May 11 at 10:30 a.m., on the subject of “Learn How Vegetarian Capsules Can Address Needs of the Natural Consumer,” where she will discuss how the market can adapt to the growing demands of consumers who demand vegetarian products and innovative dosage form solutions.
Ms. Valla will also be contributing to the Omega-3 Resource Center at the Conference, with a series of presentations as follows:
- Tuesday May 9, at 1:30 p.m., “Omega-3 Plant Based Trends and Opportunities for Innovation;”
- Tuesday May 9, at 3:30 p.m., “Oxidation and Omega-3s: Addressing the Challenges;”
- Wednesday May 10, at 1:00 p.m., “New Innovation Products for the Omega-3 Market.”
Additionally, Catalent’s Vice President and General Manager of Nutritional Softgels, Mr. Timothy Doran, will be speaking at one of the keynote panel discussions. On Thursday, May 11, at 11:30, Mr. Doran will join other industry experts for a session entitled “Accountability: Setting the standard and raising the bar in contract manufacturing,” where business practices and outsourcing partnerships will be discussed.
